Abstract:

In order to analyze the existing problems of transfer stations of Beijing Metro, the existing design of transfer stations of Beijing Metro is studied in terms of transfer distance, transfer time, transfer mode, peopleoriented design and barrierfree transfer. Some significant suggestions are made for Metro design on basis of comparison between the proposed design and the existing design of transfer stations and summarization of the design experiences of transfer station in the past.
