Abstract:

With the development of Passenger Dedicated Railway (PDR), problems in the construction of tunnels with large crosssection in soft rock mass will be increasingly encountered. Attention should be paid to several aspects of tunnel construction, such as advance geology prediction, rapid mechanized construction, stability and deformation control in tunnel face and in rock mass, construction ventilation, waterproofing and drainage and application of durable concrete. They are put forward and interpreted, in accordance with the difficulties encountered in the construction and the problems existing in the early construction stage, which may provide some references for relative tunnel projects under construction and/or future tunnel projects.
