Abstract:

 Nanning～Youyiguan highway is the first highway in Guangxi for which hot mixed asphalt concrete pavement has been used. Two pavers are used by echelon for the pavement construction of C12 contract section, which is 13km long. On basis of the construction practice in the job site, the paper summarizes the asphalt mixture paving and compacting technology, the machinery combination manner, number of compaction rounds and compaction speed. Hightemperature compaction method has been successfully used in the project, by which the construction of the works has been completed successfully with a good coordination between the construction progress and construction quality.
