Abstract:

On basis of summarizing the experience in the construction of the passengerdedicated railway tunnels in China, the authors present the technical features of the construction the large crosssection tunnels and the selection of the excavation methods for the tunnels. Taking the construction of the tunnels on Hefei～Wuhan passengerdedicated railway as case histories, the authors furthermore probe into the tunnel excavation methods. The paper can provide reference for the construction of large crosssection tunnels in the future.
