Horizontal jet grouting is applied to consolidate the ground during the construction of a Metro running tunnel located in soft rheologicplastic muddysilty clay ground. The principle, grout raw material and mixing ratio, grouting pressure, grouting volume, construction method and grouting effect test of horizontal jet grouting are presented in the paper.
