Taking the prefabrication and installation of the steel box girders of a cloverleaf crossing in Xi'an as project case, the paper presents the segment partition, assembling and welding, trial assembling and insitu installation of the steel box girders. Furthermore, the paper recommends some countermeasures for the critical construction processes and unusual cases.
