Abstract:

Cement mixing piles are used to consolidate the soft ground of Leqing station on YongTaiWen railway in Zhejiang, China. For cement mixing piles, cement is used as consolidation agent and the insitu soft soil and the cement are forcefully mixed at depth by tailormade deep mixing machines. Due to the physical and chemical actions, a kind of special mixed column body, which has high strength, good deformation performance and good waterrelated stability, is formed so as to improve the bearing capacity of the soft ground and to minimize the ground settlement. In this way, the aim of ground consolidation is achieved. The construction technology for the mixing piles is presented in the paper.
