Abstract:

The cost of the cutters takes a quite high proportion in the total construction cost of the tunnels constructed by TBMs. In the paper, the causes for the cutter wearing are presented, the cutter consumption rates of different works are summarized and fitted by means of the causality analysis diagram method and a kind of cutter consumption prediction method is concluded. Finally, the cutter consumption prediction method is verified in terms of cutter consumption quantity and costs through project cases.
