Abstract:

Comparison and contrast are made among the existing vertical hoisting systems used in construction of urban underground works, including cage hoisting system, conventional bucket hoisting system, new selfdumping bucket hoisting system and grab bucket hoisting system. The new selfdumping bucket hoisting system is recommended to be popularized. Compared to the other hoisting systems, the new selfdumping bucket hoisting system has such advantages as low equipment investment, low power consumption, simple operation, high safety and huge hoisting capacity.
