Abstract:

The successful application of rotary drilling rigs in the bored pile construction in No. 4 contract section of the north extension part of line 3 of Guangzhou Metro fully confirms the superior performances of the rotary drilling rigs. The authors, on basis of their working experience, summarize the attention items and negative phenomena occurring in the boring construction and recommend some preventive measures. They hope this paper can provide reference for similar works in the future so as to make full use of the advantages of rotary drilling rigs.
