本文通过比较两地大型隧道工程风险管理的工程实践，论述建立完善隧道工程风险管理机制的关键是要有健全的法律制度。业界可以藉此机遇提升自身的专业知识，发展创新和先进的设计和建造技术。

Abstract:
The effective management of project risks is the key factor in the successful implementation of large tunnel projects. The risk management practices of the large tunnel projects in Hong Kong and mainland China are discussed in this paper. Conclusion is drawn that the perfection of legal system is a key to forming the risk management mechanism for tunnel engineering practice. The large scale tunnel projects in China bring out exciting challenges and tremendous opportunities to the construction industry. It is a unique chance for us to enhance our professional knowledge and develop innovative design and construction techniques.
