Abstract:

Due to such features of long tunnels as complicated geological conditions, tight construction schedule, difficult construction organization and numerous construction risks, the guarantee of the construction safety becomes essential and difficult for project management. Based on the summary of the safety management for Z5 bid section of ShijiazhuangTaiyuan passengerdedicated railway, the authors present the countermeasures to guarantee the safety for long tunnels, i.e., establishing and improving the safety management system, perfecting the management system and management measures, strengthening the construction process control, persistently implementing the safety education and training and focusing on major risk source management, as well as introducing modern advanced management philosophy, technical methods and reasonable construction technologies and schemes to the works.
