Abstract:

The exit/entrance tunnels of Metro works usually have shallow covers, dramatic variations of structure types and interrupted rigidity. Especially in the intersection parts, the structures have poor connections and poor aseismic behavior.  The dynamic seismic response of the intersection parts of the exit/entrance tunnels of Metro works is studied on basis of soilstructure interacting model, by means of viscoelastic boundary and timedependent analysis. The dynamic seismic behavior and stability of the intersection parts are analyzed and summarized, the dynamic response and distribution rules of the displacement, stress and acceleration of the intersection parts are obtained, and positions and scopes of the aseismic reinforcement are proposed. The paper can provide reference for the aseismic design of Metro works in high seismic regions in the future.
