Publication ethics and publication malpractice statement
The Journal of Tunnel Construction(hereinafter referred to as Journal) is devoted to building high-class scientific journals, and persevering in idea of carrying forward academic morality, showing creative results and publishing in high standards. The Journal uses a special system to carry out punishing academic misconduct for every paper, and services provided are above board and standard. The strict publication ethics and publication malpractice will help to purify the academic environment and promote good and healthy development of the Journal. The publication ethics and malpractice of the Journal include but not limited to follows.
1. Publication ethics of authors
(1) Origin: The papers provided should be original without any national secret and intellectual property right problem.
(2) One paper corresponding to one journal: The authors should not provide one paper to multiple journals, and should not provide the paper to another journal without a clear refuse notice.
(3) Plagiarism prohibition: The quote of literatures should be clear and abundant in order.
(4) Fair signature: All the authors should be responsible for academic and ethics results.
(5) Callback and modification: Paper with problems and mistakes should be modified or callback.
(6) Founding program: The founding program should be marked in proper position, and the personal or enterprises provide support also can be mentioned in Acknowledgement.
(7) Peer review: The authors agree to peer review when submit a paper to the Journal and also can recommend reviewers.
(8) Copyright assignment: The authors agree to Copyright Assignment when submit a paper to the Journal.
2. Publication ethics of reviewers
Every paper received will be reviewed.
(1) Interested parties: The reviewers are from different enterprises without any interest relationship with authors of paper, and the reviewers should refuse the paper when there is an interest relationship with the paper or remind the editorial office of the Journal.
(2) Speciality: The reviewers are specialized in relevant field, and provide opinions on the innovativeness, scientificalness and practicability of the paper in detail.
(3) Objectivity: The reviewers should judge the paper only by technicality, and should not carry out personal abuse. All the authors with different races, genders, religious beliefs, positions, seniorities, etc. are acceptable.
(4) Confidentiality: There is a confidentiality between authors and reviewers. The reviewers should not give the paper to others, or use the data, viewpoints or conclusions of the paper.
3. Publication ethics of editors
(1) Impartiality: The editors treat all the papers with impartiality in time. When there is an interest relationship between authors and reviewers, editors should change the reviewers in times.
(2) Scientific evaluation: The paper only can be accepted by reviewing results. The editors should consider the reviewers recommended by the authors, and also can refuse the papers directly without peer review when they are not coincide with the purpose and publishing field of the Journal.
(3) Academic recheck: If there is any academic misconduct of a paper, the editors should refuse the paper directly. The editors also should take countermeasures when there is an academic morality complaint.
(4) Paper acceptance principles and paper reviewing process: The paper can be accepted only when it is in the publishing field of the Journal without academic misconduct after peer review. The reviewing process of the Journal is preliminary evaluation-executive editor review-peer review(no less than two reviewers)-chief editor review.
(5) Confidentiality: The editors should not use the paper information for private use, and should guarantee confidentiality of the information of the authors and reviewers.
(6) Clearity: The editors should guarantee the clearity of paper processing. The paper processing schedule and reviewing results should be provided for authors.
(7) Timeliness: The editors should provide reviewing results in time so as to publish the paper timely. The paper reviewing period of the Journal is generally 1~3 months according to the paper quality and reviewing results. And the paper can be published within 180 days in paper version and published in international version within 30 days after acceptance for publication.
