Tunnel Construction is an open access journal which means that all articles are freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.

(1) Tunnel Construction is an open access journal under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement and ensure the initial publication in this journal.
Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) licenses : allow others distribute and copy the article, create extracts, abstracts, and other revised versions, adaptations or derivative works of or from an article (such as a translation), includingtext or data mining of the article in a collective work (such as an anthology orabstract), and do not modify the article in such a way as to affect the author's honor or reputation,even for commercial purposes, as long as they accredit the author(s), but it donot represent thatthe author accept their adaptation on the article.
(2) Tunnel Construction has the usage rights of the article. The articles can be authorized to the third party without permission of the author(s).
To support open access publishing, Tunnel Construction collects article publishing charge (APC), which needs to be paid by the author(s). Charging criteria: (1) Chinese version: 3500 yuan and 2600 yuan per article for regular and supplementary issues, respectively(in Chinese); (2) English version: 500 yuan per published page(over 10) or 5000 yuan per article(no more than 10 pages). After publication, we will pay remuneration and send sample issue.
The editorial department of Tunnel Construction strictly complies with the peer review process, the controls academic problems, and guarantees the publication quality. There are four processes: preliminary review by editor in charge, secondary review by editor in charge, anonymous by experts, and final review by editor in chief. We adopt the collaborative collection and editing system supported by Beijing Magtech Co., Ltd.
Preliminary review by editor in charge: This is to see whether the submission is in line with the scope of our journal and conduct misconduct detection. The articles with repetition rate lower than 20% can enter the next process, otherwise they will be rejected directly. The repetition rate detection of the article is carried out on AMLS system support by CNKI. This process takes 1 to 2 days.
Secondary review by editor in charge: On consideration of the content of the article, the articles will then be assigned to appropriate experts for further review, after those less qualified or insufficient in innovation eliminated. This process takes 1 to 5 days.
Anonymous review by experts: The double-blind peer review is strictly implemented, with the submissions reviewed anonymously by more two reviewers from the same field of expertise. (1) If all reviewers suggest to reject the article, the article will not be published. (2) If more than two reviewers suggest to publish the article with innovations or practice, it will be enter the next process(review by editor in chief). (3) If there is objections between reviewers, supplementary experts will be asked for further review, and suggestion will be gave after comprehensive consideration on the all review results. This process takes 1 to 2 months.
Most of the articles should be modified according to the opinions provided by the reviewers and editorial department. After secondary submittal of the modified article with clear modifying explaination, it will be reviewed again.
Final review by editor in chief: the editor in chief will give specific opinions on final review based on the contents of the manuscript and the comments from the editor in charge and reviewers, and give the final opinions on the rejection or acceptance of the submission. This process takes 1 to 5 days.
