Construction of Largespan Metro Station by Combination  of TBM Method and Drill+Blast Method

Abstract: The excavation crosssection of Hongtudi station of Chongqing Metro is 375.8m2. The station is constructed by a combination of TBM method and drill+blast method. The construction technologies adopted for the Metro station is presented in the paper. The construction practice shows that the construction safety and quality of the Metro station is guaranteed and the interactions between the drill+blast construction and TBM boring is minimized. 
