Abstract:

The accelerated freezingthawing cycle tests with different cycling times are carried out for surface waterproofing concrete and common concrete, so as to learn the influence of freezingthawing damage on permeability behavior of surface waterproofing concrete. The test results show that: 1) The penetrations of water and chloridion of surface waterproofing concrete increase with the freezingthawing cycle time increases. 2) The permeability behavior of surface waterproofing concrete is superior to that of common concrete in same freezingthawing cycle time. 3) The maximum capillary suction volume and the chloridion content of common concrete with waterconcrete ratio of 0.4 and under 100 times of freezingthawing cycles are 10.18 times and 1.89 times that of surface waterproofing concrete respectively.

Key words: concrete structure, surface waterproofing, freezingthawing cycle, permeability, durability
