Abstract:
It is very important to learn the rules of ground settlement induced by shield tunneling in Beijing area. Ground settlement monitoring crosssections are set on parallel section and overlapped section of doubleline shield tunnel respectively, so as to study the rules of ground settlement induced by shield tunneling. The analytical results show that: 1) The curves of settlement groove in different depths of ground in Beijing area can be described by Gaussian distribution; the width of settlement groove decreases with the depth of ground increase. 2) The ground settlement before shield reaches monitoring crosssection,after shield reaches the point away from monitoring crosssection equals to tunnel buried depth and later ground settlement takes 1/3 of total settlement respectively. 3) For overlapped tunnel, the lower tunnel should be constructed firstly. 4) The relevant ground losses of settlement groove with different depths are almost the same. 5) Larger ground settlement would be induced by shield stop.
