Abstract:

Considering the quality defects found in the lining of railway tunnels, such as crown voids, construction joint hollow, cracking and chipping of concrete, and water leakage, an investigation is conducted into the causes of these defects and the shortcomings in the tooling technology used. A new intelligent lining trolley tooling and informatization technology is developed and tested in a case study on the Jishou tunnel of the ZhangjiajieJishouHuaihua railway. A series of advance construction tooling technologies, including layered automated pouring, transparent end cap plates, inclined holes for pouring into the crown, end zero overlapping devices, and reinforced medium buried waterstop ties, are proposed. The archwall lining trolley information evaluation system intelligently integrates the trolley pouring status, the distribution system, automated vibration of the arch crown, arch crown cavity monitoring, end lap monitoring, sidepressure monitoring, the hydraulic system, the traveling system, and the lining data report using a programmable logic controller, to enable realtime visual control of the lining pouring process and its quality control. Field testing and the thirdparty inspection indicated that secondary lining concrete defects decreased from 31 points to 4 points within 250 m, and the concrete strength was strengthened by about 12%.
