Abstract:

 With the rapid development of Chinese economy, road transportation works has entered a new era. On basis of presenting the history and stateoftheart of subsea tunne1s and rivercrossing tunnels, the author states that subsea tunnels and rivercrossing tunnels are gradually becoming the major trend of works alignment selection. The author makes detailed expatiation on the design of works alignments and provides the important aspects of alignment design of such works, as well as the differences between such works and the other works. The author also makes preliminary analysis on the alignment design of subsea tunnels and rivercrossing tunnels.
