Abstract:

The rapid transit system plays an important role of urban transportation. For the reasons of having convenient communications and maintaining the ground appearances, the shield tunnel alternative is often adopted to connect stations. Besides, the shield tunnel approach can also prevent influencing the residents’ lives and causing noise and vibration. However, there are still disasters encountered during the construction of shield tunnel. Therefore, this study employs the structure and concept of risk management to discuss the occurred disaster cases of shield tunnels. First, we breakdown the activities of shield tunnel engineering, and then we further analyze the hazards of each activity by inducing the disaster cases. Finally, we provide different suggesting prevent actions by the risk matrix.
