Study on Structural Types of Shield Tunnels under
Yellow River Subjected to High Internal Water Pressure

Abstract:

Due to the high internal water pressure applied to the lining of the shield tunnel under Yellow River on the middle line of southtonorth water diversion project, the study on structural types was carried out. The single lining, the combined bearing doublelining and the independent bearing doublelining are discussed. Through the analysis of the influence of different structural types on the deformation of inner lining and outer lining, internal force and the behavior of joints between segments, the independent bearing doublelining is proposed due to its explicit behavior and high security.
