Abstract:

Focus on the tunnels in Taiwan, this study collects the exceptional phenomena on lining obtained from tunnel inspections since 1990’s and earlier reported cases.  Various exceptional phenomena are illustrated and classified.  And the usual patterns occurred in lining made up of various materials such as brick, stone, concrete and reinforced concrete are investigated, the influence of lining construction methods are also commented.
