Abstract:
In order to study the characteristics of noncohesive prestressed strand anchors used in the structure of varied roof height tailrace tunnel and solve the problems during their installation, drilling, tension comparison and grouting test have been performed. Thus the technology problems, including highprecision drilling of anchor holes, key technology of tensioning and grouting for strand anchors are solved. Therefore, the 1 005 strand anchors in varied roof height tailrace tunnel are installed efficiently, fast and economically. In addition, this technology has been applied in the construction of the underground power plant on the right bank of Three Gorges Project. The technology may provide reference for similar projects in the future.
