The parameterized modeling technology for cutter heads of shield machines by means of CATIA 3D modeling software and Visual Basic software is described. The parameterized modeling system of cutter heads of shield machines is developed on basis of the parameterized modeling technology. The model of the cutter heads of shield machines can be rapidly formed by means of the parameterized modeling system and on basis of the boundary parameters, material parameters and cutter head parameters of the shield machines. In this way, the design cycle of the cutter heads is shortened and the working intension of the designers is reduced.
