Study on and Discussion of Cutting of Channels of Underground Diaphragm Wall Close to Existing Buildings in Confined Space

The underground diaphragm wall of South People Road Station of No. 9 Line of Shenzhen Metro is located close to existing buildings and below existing viaduct. The channel of the diaphragm wall has to be cut in confined space. Technologies, including channel cutting in confined space, sectioning of rebar cages, rebar cage installing in confined space and existing building protection, are used to guarantee the successful construction of the deep foundation pit in confined space. The analysis and practice show that the mentioned channel cutting technologies adopted for the underground diaphragm wall are feasible, reliable and safe.
