The maintenance and upgrade of control system for imported continuous belt conveyor are difficult； hence it is necessary to carry out independent research and development. In view of belt conveyor used in mucking of Baicheng Tunnel on Menghua Railway, the general design of control system, programmable logic controller (PLC) programming, comprehensive protection of belt and design of manmachine interface (HMI) configuration of continuous belt conveyor are introduced. A suit of control system program of continuous belt conveyor is completed, and by which the belt conveyor works stably.
