In order to evaluate the implementation of the National
Medium and Longterm Science
and Technology Development Plan (2006~2020), the major
technological advancements and innovations of China′s
traffic tunnels in the past 14 years are systematically summarized from the
aspects of engineering survey, structural design, construction technology and
equipment, ventilation and lighting, operational maintenance and environmental
protection, etc. And then the future development of tunnel industry is
predicted. Finally, new demands and challenges in the areas, i.e. construction
technology of ultralong tunnels in complex conditions,
construction technology of crosssea tunnel,
construction and operation technology of urban underground road network, tunnel
complementary comprehensive utilization technology of green renewable energy,
intelligent tunnel diagnosis recognition and rapid repairing, intelligent
disaster prevention of ultralong tunnels and
underground works in complex conditions, are proposed.
