The general metro evacuation calculation is mostly
about analysis of the capacity of evacuation facilities. However, the factors,
i.e. metro station construction form and the diversity of the height of the
station to the platform, the complexity of the passenger flow, etc., affecting
the evacuation of metro passenger flow and their influencing degrees are
unclear. Hence, further analysis should be carried out by combining simulation
software. Based on the BIM environment and Pathfinder simulation software, the
evacuation of passengers at the same lifting height under different passenger
flows of stations with different architectural forms and the evacuation of
passengers at different lifting heights under same passenger flow of stations
with same architectural form are studied when the evacuation time can be
guaranteed. The simulation data and analysis results show that the station
architectural form has little influence on the evacuation efficiency of the
platform passenger flow; the evacuation effect decreases first and then
increases with the increase of the height of the transit facilities, and the
demarcation point is at 19 m. Meanwhile, the emergence of congestion during the
evacuation process will cause a large deviation between the simulation results
and the theoretical calculation results. Therefore, the redundancy of
evacuation facilities should be considered to some extent.
