Abstract

Anchoring performance of a nonfoaming polymer grouting material in a rock matrix is of critical significance to engineering research and applications. Research has been focused on investigating the bonding properties between the solid and rock mass of a polymer anchor using tension testing models. The ultimate drawing force under different anchorage lengths is simulated using the finite element software ABAQUS. The results show that (1) anchor length and anchor diameter have a great impact on the interface bond strength, yet the influence of the anchor length is stronger; (2) when the concrete matrix strength does not exceed 30 MPa, slip surface occurs on one side of the matrix, and the interface bonding strength increases with increasing concrete matrix strength; (3) tension force also has a significant impact on the distribution law of bond strength, and with increase in tension load, bonding strength increases and then decreases gradually rather than decreases with the increasing anchorage depth; and (4) the finite element software ABAQUS can well simulate the distribution and transmission law of axial force and interface bonding force under different loads.
