The resource utilization of waste soil in shield
tunneling has numerous disadvantages, including a large scale of equipment,
complicated operation, and poor adaptability to different soils and small
areas. In this study, the treatment process for the resource utilization and an
intelligent, integrated, and modularized equipment of vibration screening,
flocculation, pressure filtration, pipeline, and centralized control platform
are investigated on the basis of a shield tunnel project of Liuyue North
station of Shenzhen metro line 14. The results indicate the following: (1) The
equipment used in the Liuyue North station occupies only 470 m2,
the processing capacity reaches 1 400 m3 per day, and
only four operators are needed. (2) The adaptability of the equipment to
different strata is significantly improved, and the screen clogging issue is
resolved. (3) The mud and water contents of coarse aggregate/fine sand are
significantly reduced. The treatment system for the resource usage of waste
soil in shield tunneling is evolving toward intelligence, integration, and
modularization, which is appropriate for various scenarios.
