With the densification and three-dimensional development of urban underground space, disturbances to existing shield tunnels induced by adjacent construction have become frequent, posing severe threats to their operational safety. Accordingly, considering three typical disturbance types of adjacent pit excavation, proximity tunnel crossing, and surface surcharge, this paper systematically reviews the disturbance mechanisms, influencing factors, and response patterns of shield tunnels under different types of adjacent construction disturbances. On this basis, focusing on deformation control and restoration methods for shield tunnel structures under adjacent construction disturbances, a systematic summary and analysis are conducted from four aspects, including blocking disturbance transmission paths, enhancing structural performance, reinforcing the ground, and deformation restoration. Finally, basedon current research gaps in the field of shield tunnels under adjacent construction disturbances, future directions are proposed. It is suggested that future research should strengthen three aspects: deformation mechanisms elucidating tunnel responses to construction disturbances based on deep-learning, resilience enhancement optimization through tunnel-soil interaction modeling, and integrated intelligent management platforms unifying monitoring perception, time-dependent assessment, and enhanced decision-making.
