Based on a fire disaster that happened in a extralong tunnel under construction, the author analyses on the problems in the emergency rescue, and recommends a layout scheme of the emergency facilities for fire extinguishing, communications, escape, rescue as well as some requirements on emergency exit, ventilation and emergency maneuver. This paper can provide practical guidance for the preparation for fire emergency rescue in tunnels under construction.
