Taking the concrete transportation technology used in No.3 inclined shaft of Xiangshan extralong tunnel as an example, the authors present the concrete delievery technology by using open chute along the long and steep inclined shaft. The successful application of this technique greatly improved the transportation capacity of the inclined shaft installed with railbound transportation system. Furthermore, this technique solved the problem of limited concrete transportation capacity, which restricts the construction schedule of invert, filling and secondary concrete lining. The technology should be promoted or referred for other projects in the future.
