The author introduces the application of Siemens PLC in the testbed for shield machine control system in National 863 Program Project. The testbed is an experiment equipment for developing key technology of shield machine control system and verifying the design of the main shield machine and the relative control system. Moreover, the author mainly analyzes the components, functions and characteristics of the shield machine control system, and puts forward some recommendations.
