Horizontal jet grouting is applied to consolidate the ground during the construction of a Metro running tunnel located in soft rheologicplastic muddysilty clay ground. The principle, grout raw material and mixing ratio, grouting pressure, grouting volume, construction method and grouting effect test of horizontal jet grouting are presented in the paper.
