On basis of construction of the rivercrossing karst tunnels on the oildelivery pipe lines in southwest of China, the author presents the blasting method adopted for the construction of the rivercrossing tunnels in karst regions, describes the construction methods and relevant countermeasures to cope with the tunnel water inflows, ground deformation and the karst geology and makes some recommendations on the construction of rivercrossing tunnels in karst regions.
