For the construction of a large crosssection Metro station in busy urban area by means of side drift method, monitoring is made on surface subsidence, crown settlement, convergence, displacement and stress variations. On basis of the monitoring results, detailed analysis is made on deformation resulted by construction activities and a preliminary summary is made on the deformation pattern of construction of large crosssection tunnels by means of side drift method.
