Rock Deformation Caused by Backfill Grouting Pressure in Shield Tunneling

Taking the running tunnel of a Metro project as an example, this paper discusses the surface settlement and surrounding rock deformation arising in shield tunneling under different grouting pressures by means of FLAC program. Considering the allowable surface settlement range, the authors propose reasonable simultaneous grouting pressures and settlement control measures in shield tunneling construction.
