As a sophisticated tunnel lining type, the universal wedgeshaped segments can do a good job in the control of the axis of the shielddriven tunnel and the quality of the segment ring. Taking the largescale universal wedgeshaped segments used in Shangzhong Road Tunnel projects in Shanghai as an example, the article presents the design concept and features of the universal wedgeshaped segments, the zigzag segment erection method and the segment erection quality control method .
