Case Study on Malfunction Diagnosis and Repair of Thrust System of an EPB Shield Machine

Focusing on the malfunction of the thrust system of an EPB shield machine manufactured by Komatsu company, the author makes a thorough analysis on the causes for the malfunction and recommends his repairing scheme on basis of the construction conditions. The recommended repairing scheme has been adopted and the malfunction has been successfully eliminated.
