In the paper, the construction technology for the large crosssection connection tunnel of Shiqiaozhanbei～Panyuguangchangzhan shielddriven running tunnel on line 3 of Guangzhou Mass Rapid Transit System is presented and analysis is made on the construction methods for the excavation of the connection tunnel in unstable ground and for the cutting of the largearea segment lining.
