Underpinning to pile foundation of 18900kN pressure which has not been met in and out of China before， happened to the building of General Merchandise Between Guomao Station and Dajuyuan Station on line 1 of Shenzhen metro. Based on the theory of risk management， the risk of underpinning to the pile foundation is presented in this paper.
