Abstract

The issue crosspassage between the overlapping tunnels with 210m radius curvature is located in front of the MRT intersection station in soft alluvial Taipei Basin. Soil around the crosspassage was strengthening by the triple pipe jet grouting method (RJPRodin Jet Pile) before boring tunnels. The soil between tunnels was improved by chemical grouting via the preinstalled holes in segments. Under intimate cooperation between the owner conscientious supervision and contractor technical construction , the crosspassage was successfully completed before the date.
