Abstract

The geological conditions are complicated in the firststage construction of tunnels crossing Yellow River on the middle line of southtonorth water diversion project, which leads to having huge difficulties. The construction schemes, the style selection, the input and output conditions, the construction procedures and the auxiliary equipment in the construction of tunnels using the shield machine are discussed in this paper.
