Abstract: The construction of the SichuanTibet railway faces numerous challenges such as significant terrain elevation differences, complex geological characteristics, and a harsh climatic environment, among which the high altitude has particularly significant effects on the Sichuan-Tibet railway′s construction. The influence factor of high altitude on construction equipment by drillandblast method for Ya′anLinzhi section is analyzed from the aspects of power system, electrical control system, fluid control system, and air compressor performance to realize mechanized construction of SichuanTibet railway tunnels. Some recommendations for equipment selection of key construction processes of drillandblast construction operations in cold and highaltitude environments, such as advance support, excavation, primary support, and secondary lining, are made. The equipment includes advance drill and support equipment, rockbreaking jumbos, arch frame installation equipment, shotcrete equipment, crusher + belt conveyor mucking system, excavation +  loading + electrical transport equipment, and mobile dedusting equipment.
