Abstract:
In these days, most of the construction enterprises have cross industry and transregional business. However, the manual standalone office information management systems used by these enterprises have many disadvantages and can no longer meet the information management requirement. In this paper, the development background, functions, platform structures, principles, concepts, perspectives as well as the significance of the 3D production information management system are presented. The dominant feature of the system is that direct and dynamic 3D engineering models can be generated on the basis of daily production data. The 3D production information management system has been applied in projects such as Line 6 of Beijing Metro, HuairenChishui highway and Shanxi Centralsouth railway and good results have been achieved. It reduces the demand on human and material resources and generally meets the management demand of construction enterprises.
