Abstract:

Aging and wearing may occur to components of shield machines. In the paper, the wearing of the sealing slide of the main drive system of shield machines is presented. The following countermeasures are proposed to deal with the wearing of the sealing slide: 1) Removing the sealing washer and making adjustment; 2) Processing the sealing slide and pasting steel belt; 3) Laser welding repair. Furthermore, the wearing conditions of and countermeasures for the wearing of the sealing slide of the main drive system of a Lovat EPB shield are presented, which verifies the importance of the sealing position adjustment and the main drive sealing grease injection quantity. 
