Abstract:

Global climate changes dramatically in recent years. The frequency and intensity of extreme weather occurring gradually increased, which impacts the stability of water supply. The protection and utilization of groundwater resources is, therefore, more and more important. It is expected the assessment of tunnel construction on the influence of groundwater resource would be required in the future. The methods of hydrogeological survey and 3D numerical modeling applied in tunnel construction are proposed in the paper. The major techniques include borehole doublepacker test, water inflow measurement, automatic monitoring instrument, hydrogeological parameter evaluation, 3D conceptual model establishment, model calibration and verification, etc. Furthermore, the possible groundwater loss during excavation and variation of groundwater resource in the longterm would be understood according to the results of transient analysis and steadystate analysis. It can provide the communication between environment protection and tunnel engineering.
