Abstract

Abstract:

The foundation pit of Xiwang station of Line 1 of Shijiazhuang Metro is located in collapsible loess strata. In the paper, theoretical analysis is made on the foundation pit on basis of the actual geological and hydrogeological conditions and it is proposed that the originallydesigned replacement bracing could be cancelled, while full scaffold should be installed to support the structure. The proposal has been applied in the construction of the Metro station and good effects have been achieved. 
